  4. Trends screening - One of the keyword research tools used in comparing and evaluating the accessibility of the selected keywords is through "Google Trends". The fact that Business Process Outsourcing is accounted as one of the fastest growing industries in the world; it has been predicted by the international consultancy firm Mckinsey and Co. that the demand for outsourcing will reach $180 billion in the year 2010, with the client contact services, finance and human resource sub-sectors getting the biggest shares. Talking about the trend in primary business requirements, experts are seeing a switch from cost effectiveness to competence and skills quality. This growth more stabilizes Philippine's position as the "Emerging Global Leader in the BPO Industry".


Offshore Call Centers are currently the leading Business Process Outsourcing in the Philippines. Philippine offshore services generate high revenues of about $1.2 billion in the year 2006, being the 3rd behind China and India and a little ahead of Malaysia. That is 62% higher over the $1.3 billion gained in 2004, and a large increase of revenues of $24 billion when BPO industry in Manila employed more than 2000 people. In the Philippines, It is approximated that 200,000 workers are employed in 120 BPO companies which are mostly in Call Centers. Generally, Outsourcing in the Philippines is reported to earn $11 billion and will be employing 900,000 workers in the year 2010.


Major BPO offices are located in Cebu City and Metro Manila. However, other regional offices such as Baguio City, Bacolod City, Cagayan de Oro City, Angles City, Dagupan City, Dumaguete City, Lipa City, Iloilo City and Davao City are currently being developed and promoted for offshore operations.
